This is the dashboard where it all happens! All of your leaders, staff, and group coordinators can have access to your website's private admin console. Viewable through any current web browser, the admin console is the hub of your online ministry. Use it to add new pages, edit current pages, manage calendar events, send emails, set up event registrations, and more. You can control who has access, and even limit certain users to certain tasks.

Calendar (NEW/IMPROVED!)

Adding and editing calendar events on your website is easy! You can specify dates, descriptions, location information, and contact information for each event. And events are automatically entered into the calendar based on the group who submitted them, so visitors can quickly see events based on department/ministry or category.

Additionally, you can specify links from your calendar events to other pages on your website...or even third-party websites. This is very convenient when scheduling a guest speaker, conference, retreat, weekend trip, etc.

The calendar supports 4 different views (Day, Agenda, Week, Month), and includes built-in support for Facebook integration. You can even assign different icons/color codes to various event types. Your visitors can also subscribe to your calendar events using popular RSS and iCal feeds.

Email Newsletters

One of the best ways to let your people know what's happening is through regular email newsletters. Or, you may have a special message to send out at a moment's notice. The SiteOrganic Email Newsletter engine lets you do this very easily. Visitors to your website can subscribe/unsubscribe to one or more lists that you offer (not available on all SiteOrganic plans). When it's time to send out a message, you can choose between plain text or HTML/text. The HTML option means that you can include graphics in your message to give it a more professional look.

Send yourself a test message first, to make sure that everything looks OK. Then, when you're ready, click the Send button and SiteOrganic does the rest! The mail will be sent out to everyone on your subscriber list...we use our email servers, so your own organization's network will not be affected. And because it's a subscriber-based system, your user community can rest assured that you aren't sending them any unwanted email.

Another benefit? Check a box and SiteOrganic will automatically add a list of upcoming events to your email as it gets sent out. This makes it easy to keep people informed, without needing to re-type your calendar of events every week.

You can log in anytime and see archives of past email messages that were sent. Or, you can re-send a message to individual subscribers who may not have received it the first time.

Event Signup Reports

Since SiteOrganic gives you the power to create event registration forms with ease, you'll want to use the system for just about anything that requires a signup or payment. Once you do receive sign-ups on the system, authorized users can log in and view real-time reports. View a basic report showing the number of orders, and basic details in a list. Or, create your own custom reports showing just the fields and columns you want.

For instance, your publicity team might need a report showing each registrant's name and shirt size. Or, your nametag volunteer might want a report showing names and hometown. As long as you asked it in the signup form, it can be part of your reports.

File Manager

The File Manager is your cloud-based "hard drive in the sky". It's where you store all of your stuff--documents, images, media files, etc.

Our File Manager is drag-and-drop simple; just place files in your own set of folders and subfolders (create as many as you like). You also get to control who can touch which files. Files can even be keyword-indexed, so you can make them searchable by users.

If one of your users accidentally moves or renames a key file (for example, an image from your home page), don't worry! SiteOrganic takes care of maintaining the file reference so that nothing is affected on your public site.

File Uploads

Putting files on your website is as easy as dragging and dropping. The SiteOrganic File Upload manager lets you send multiple files to the server (may vary slightly depending on which web browser you use). Files can be any type, including documents, PowerPoint slides, images, audio/video, Zip files, etc. The system will automatically detect most file types and add them to your file cabinet. This makes it easy to place a link to these files on any page of your website. You only need to upload a file once, but you can use it an unlimited number of times across your website. Deleting files is also easy. SiteOrganic offers generous amounts of file storage (based on your plan), and you can request additional storage anytime.

Forms & Polls

Creating forms on your web pages is quick and easy. Using the SiteOrganic form wizard and the WYSIWYG Page Editor, you can add different types of questions (e.g. type-in, multiple choice, checkboxes, etc.).

Decide whether some questions are required, and let other questions stay optional. Finally, you can specify whether certain leaders should be notified when a new form submission is received. Form results and data are accessible to you any time, and you can even download a full list of form responses in Microsoft Excel format!

SiteOrganic lets you make links! This is one of the most fundamental, no-brainer features that any Web solution must have. We give you the ability to create text links, image links, video links, PDF links, and on and on. Our built-in link manager makes it easy, but if you prefer to hand-code your links (or add more advanced things like javascript, class names, etc.), then we invite you to flip over to the built-in HTML view and go crazy!

Media Suite

SiteOrganic sets the standard for church media sharing online. Media Suite (included with most church Website plans at no extra charge) gives you the freedom to combine videos on your site with videos from third-party sites such as Vimeo and YouTube. Organize your media by series, date, book of the Bible, location, or any other categories you create.

Page Archiving

After you have removed a page from your website, it's very possible that you may want to use that page again later. By moving the page to your Archives, you'll have an easy place to find all of your "warehoused" information. Pages can be moved in or out of the archives at any time. Each ministry/group has its own archive. As long as a page is in the archives, it can't be viewed by the public--but your leaders and volunteers (with proper access) can preview the page and bring it back to "active" status.

Page Publishing

SiteOrganic gives you powerful editing tools to create and edit each page of your website. If you want to take a page out of "circulation" while you're working on it, it's easy--just change the page's status to unpublished. This will preserve the content of the page, but will automatically remove it from the website so it can't be viewed by the public.

This is also a great way to keep a page that has seasonal information, or a page that you might use again in the future. You don't have to delete the page and re-create it from scratch later. Just change the publish status to unpublished, and then re-publish it again when you're ready!

Podcasting

Podcasting is a simple but powerful way for your visitors to automatically receive your latest audio/video programming. Anyone with a portable audio device and a podcast reader can subscribe to your daily/weekly audio programs. Each time you publish a new program with the Media Suite tools, it will automatically be downloaded to your subscribers' devices.

Quotes/Scripture Verses

You can add scripture verses, quotes from authors, or even testimonial quotes from your own members. Each quote can also feature an image or photo that you specify.

Once you have added one or more quotes, you may include them on any of your pages. You can even choose whether a given page of your site always will show the same quote, or whether it displays a different (random) quote each time.

This is a great way to provide inspirational scripture or thoughts for your website visitors; it's also a handy tool to feature short vignettes of life change as a result of your ministry.

Section/Group Navigation

Each section within your Website can have its own navigation bar on the website. The section navigation bar is automatically updated whenever you publish a page to the website. You can also collect groups of pages into "clusters", which will appear as a familiar tree-style menu.

Content Rotators

Each SiteOrganic design has its own blend of dynamic content. These rotators (also known as "carousels" or "channels") can include random image displays, ad engines, promotional graphics, text-based links, or scheduled headlines. The design of your site will dictate the right tools; our team will automatically use the right systems to help you manage all of your content.

Most of our content rotator tools allow you to add an image, headline, link, and start/end dates for each item. In many cases, SiteOrganic will then build a dynamic Flash display from your information, creating a beautiful and timely display on your Website.

Design Assistance

Your staff and volunteers will be able to complete most text-based updates for your website. If you have people on your team with graphics skills, even better! They can create images, logos, landing pages, video, etc. and place them directly on your website. In cases where you would like a professional design created for a page, the SiteOrganic team is available at your service on an hourly basis. We can handle photo retouching, page layout, or mobile web design/development.

Hourly rates for our designers will vary based on your SiteOrganic package. We'll always give you an estimate before we begin any work. This helps to maintain our "no surprises" environment.

Directories

Whether you want to display a list of staff, students, volunteers, or just a list of your members, the SiteOrganic Directories tool makes it easy and fun.

You start by creating a new directory (you can make as many as you want). Then, you simply add the members to the directory. There are many fields to choose from, such as name, title, bio text, phone/address/email, Facebook page, blog address, etc. You can also divide a directory in to subcategories, which can be helpful if your staff are segmented into divisions or departments. Each member can be shown by name, by photo, or both.

Once you create a directory, you can display it or link to it from anywhere on your site. You can make changes to your directory at any time.

Font options

SiteOrganic allows you to use the built-in fonts that our designers pick for your site, or you can show some originality and choose your own. Our editor includes a full set of web-safe fonts, known to look great in any browser.

Certain SiteOrganic Themes also give you the freedom to add special typefaces to your page titles, menus, and other text. We use a modern technique called "@font-face" which means that fonts render cleanly on any screen, even if the user doesn't have the font installed. This method also lets the text show on mobile devices, and it's SEO-friendly for Google.

More advanced users will appreciate the ability to apply your own CSS to your text, either inline or via the SiteOrganic Skinning tools.

Home Page Features Engine

Even though your website calendar provides a great place to publicize all of your events, there are certain major events or announcements that deserve special treatment on the home page. That's why we provide you with the Home Page Features Engine.

Depending on how your organization decides to manage this tool, selected events/announcements can appear in a scrolling area of your home page. Each announcement can include an image, a short text blurb, and a link. You can easily set each feature to appear between specified dates, and also override the dates at any time if you need to quickly remove an announcement (e.g. if an event sells out).

The features engine is built with tools that ensure smooth compatibility on any browser or mobile device. No Flash is required.

For urgent or very major announcements, you may also create a home page popup announcement using our Emergency Announcement Engine.

Image Uploads

The SiteOrganic system makes it easy for your web team to put files online, just as easily as dragging files between folders on the desktop. However, special considerations are often appropriate when uploading image files. Lower-quality Website platforms usually expect you to know the ins-and-outs of image editing. With SiteOrganic, we do the hard part for you. Just use the Image Upload manager to place your raw images online (from a digital camera, smartphone, scanner, email, etc.). Then, you have total control over sizing your images. You can even make thumbnail (small) versions of your image automatically!

Use your photos anywhere on your website, or put them in a scrapbook for viewing online.

Photo Galleries

Photographs are the most compelling way to show the faces of your organization. Whether it's snapshots from a recent youth trip, digital images from a staff picnic, or an image log of your church construction project, SiteOrganic's Photo Gallery Engine gives you an easy tool for setting up your gallery. Each group of images is arranged in a digital scrapbook. Scrapbooks let you provide captions, location and date information, and even a title image to serve as the cover. Putting photos on your site is easy.

Photo Resizing

Photos often come from many different sources--digital cameras, smartphones, email attachments, and scanned prints, just to name a few. Other website management systems require you to have graphics software to size these images for proper placement on a web page.

SiteOrganic reduces the need for graphics software, and lets you specify the exact sizes for your photos. This helps reduce the file storage needs on your server, and makes you look more professional!

Specify image sizes by height/width, percentage, or specify just one dimension (height or width) and let SiteOrganic figure out the rest. Our system will actually modify your JPG image file and re-save the result for you. The photo is then available for you to use on any web page, or as part of a photo gallery.

FoxyCart works with SiteOrganic integrated merchant processing, and includes shipping quotes from all major carriers.

Recurring Giving

Your donors can set up a scheduled, repeating gift amount, which allows them to make regular contributions to your organization. This means that they can designate an amount and a frequency (e.g. monthly, weekly, bi-weekly) to have their donations automatically debited from a credit card or checking/savings account. Donors can also log in to your Website at any time to change/cancel their donations.

Your account with SiteOrganic includes a generous amount of cloud-based storage for all of your files--audio/video files, documents, PowerPoint slides, PDFs, images, etc. Placing these files on the server is as easy as drag and drop. Your site administrator can monitor your storage usage. If you need more space, you can either upgrade to a higher SiteOrganic plan, or pay a low monthly fee for additional disk space.

Daily Backups

Friendly URL Manager

SiteOrganic allows the creation of short, memorable addresses for any of your pages or forms. Instead of a long, numerical address for a page, how about something like this:

www.mysite.com/sports

You and your various Website editors can create these Friendly URLs yourself, right in the SiteOrganic Admin Console. You can also create more than one for a single page, if desired.

Administrators can view a comprehensive report of all Friendly URLs across the whole Website, which is a great way to keep the content streamlined and accurately reflected on external search engines.

We also will code the link so that the address stays in place--a key aspect of improving your search visibility and page rank.

Monthly Transfer Limit

As your organization grows, you will usually experience increased demand for your website... a nice "problem" to have. As your website becomes busier, more data will be flowing back and forth from your account. To keep our servers at optimal performance, we include up to 1 terabyte (TB) of traffic on your account each month. Rest assured, most clients will use a mere fraction of the transfer bandwidth allotted. We'll send you an email if you're getting close to your limit, and we can work with you to determine the best plan for your size and needs.

One of the best ways to measure the success of your website is to know the basic information about your visitors - how many, what they're doing, what they are searching for, what type of computers they are using, how long they spend on the site, etc.

SiteOrganic gives you an easy-to-read analysis of your website traffic. Because all of your web traffic will flow through the SiteOrganic engine, we can provide very helpful and unique information about your web traffic. Reports are viewable any time.

We also provide extended analytics for you to measure external search queries, content paths, and file downloads.

If you decide to augment your SiteOrganic stats with a third party tool (such as Google Analytics), we give you the ability to add the necessary code to your site (in one place) so that all of your pages are tracked.

Subdomain/DNS Management

If you have additional domains or DNS records, you'll have direct control by using the SiteOrganic Hosting Control Panel. This makes it easy to add domains such as:

Content Syndication

When you operate multiple Websites under one organization, you quickly realize that you need a good way to maintain consistency and quality. This is especially important for multi-site churches, nonprofits and ministries with multiple locations, or other sites that share content.

The Content Syndication tool, built in to the SiteOrganic mCMS, is a great way to share or copy content without any extra work. The "publishing" site (that is, the site where you create the original page) can make its pages available to "consumer" sites on SiteOrganic (that is, the sites where you want to have the page appear). The "consumer" sites can either make complete copies of that page--which they can then modify--or simply show a feed. The feed will update whenever the "publishing" site makes an update to the page.

The Content Syndication tool also has great possibilities for creative management of your navigation, even within a single site.

You'll find this tool built right in to the SiteOrganic Admin Console on certain plans.

Emergency Announcement Engine

For situations when you need to get an announcement out to your website visitors in a noticeable way, use the Emergency Announcement Engine. It's ideal for conditions such as:

• Weather-related cancellations (Snow! Hurricanes! Rapture!)
• Major prayer requests
• Last-minute schedule changes
• Any other items requiring immediate attention

Enhanced Workflow Controls

The SiteOrganic system provides your staff, volunteers, and lay ministry leaders with tools to keep the website updated. Putting this much control in the hands of a widespread volunteer team can be risky, however.

With approvals-based publishing, your staff and trusted leaders can ensure that your website maintains a consistent level of quality. After one of your workers submits a change on the site, that change is held in "queue" until the designated editor or owner of that page can approve the change. Changes may be accepted, declined, or referred back to the original worker with comments.

If a page ever gets published accidentally, you can also "rollback" to a previous version of that page.

Footer manager

Your site will have a common footer bar that can appear on every page of the site.

The footer normally shows information like contact information, copyright messages, Privacy Policy links, etc. With the SiteOrganic Footer manager, you only need to edit the footer in one place. Any changes you make to your footer will instantly appear across the entire website--no need for tedious, page-by-page edits!

You may also create different footers for each section of your site if you'd like. Our footers can even display a dynamic list of all of your navigation categories, which can be helpful for search optimization, as well as helping people more easily navigate your site when they scroll down to the bottom of your pages.

Full Navigation Menu Control

Every SiteOrganic Website includes dynamic navigation menus. This means that you can easily add, modify, or delete items from your menu at any time. No programming knowledge is needed; the navigation menu is presented in an intuitive screen where you can simply move elements until you are satisfied. The system supports two levels of navigation, so you can have main elements and sub-elements. Menu items can point to any page on your website, or you can even point menu items to outside websites. As soon as you save your navigation settings, the dynamic menus on every page of your website will immediately reflect the changes.

Your ministries and groups will also have their own navigation menus. If you're not using a page right now, you can hide the page from your navigation menus and your site-wide search. This makes it easy to save a page in the background, without worrying about un-authorized access.

Member Profiles

SiteOrganic's powerful user management system allows your constituents/members to register, login, and manage their own profiles. This gives them the ability to keep vital information--address, phone number, email, password--up-to-date. It also increases the quality of your membership data, since the people are managing their own information. On most SiteOrganic plans, the My Profile screen also lets each person change their subscription preferences for your e-mail lists.

You will always have the ability to view, change, or export user data from your Website as an MS Excel spreadsheet. Also, you can use the SiteOrganic Alerts function to receive an Email alert each time a new person registers on your Website, changes his/her information, or deletes a profile.

META tag editor

What good is a website if nobody finds it? We want to make sure that your site is available for people searching on the major engines like Google, Bing Yahoo, etc. With the META tag editor, you can add/update your site's META tags at any time.

SiteOrganic allows you to set the META tags on each page individually (recommended), or have a single set of META tags for your whole site (less work, but not as effective for SEO).

This is part of a comprehensive set of tools we provide to you, so that your Website is indexed as high as possible on major search engines.

Password-Protect Pages

Although most pages on your website will be intended for the general public, you may have certain types of content that are only meant for leaders, facilitators, or staff. In this case, simply designate who has access to see your sensitive material. The page editing screen has a list of all the available security levels; just choose the minimum user level who is allowed to see this page, and you're done! Any visitors who do not have "at least" that level of security will not be allowed to see the information.

Unlimited User Accounts

Remember, the SiteOrganic system is intended to be used by not just your staff. In fact, you can create new user accounts for any volunteer, group leader, apprentice, facilitator, etc. Each user can have different privileges. For instance, "Steve" is a volunteer leader of your church athletics ministry. So, you would set up Steve's account to have access to edit only the information for athletics ministry. Meanwhile, "Sue" is your church Administrative Assistant, and performs duties for the whole organization. Want to embed a YouTube video on one of your pages? Want to host a live stream with a service like Mogulus or UStream? No problem. Just drop in the HTML code given to you by the video platform provider, and you're good to go.

You can even use the SiteOrganic Media suite to organize your videos, but keep them hosted at a third-party location! We want you to feel free to use the media hosting workflow that makes the most sense for your organization.

Please note that a separate one-time licensing fee is required to purchase the Prayer Engine application. Once you have done so, we can install it for you on our servers and embed the prayer wall on any page(s) of your website.

RSS Feed Publisher

With SiteOrganic, your content can travel beyond the bounds of your Website. The RSS Feed Publisher automatically creates various feeds from your Web content, and makes them available to other platforms, devices, and systems that use the standard RSS specification.

RSS Feed Reader

Many clients have outside sources for news, such as blogs, Twitter feeds, syndicated content, social networking sites, etc. These outside services normally publish this information in a standard format, called RSS.

With SiteOrganic, you can embed an RSS feed into any page of your site. This allows you to show headlines on YOUR site from ANOTHER location. You can publish great content from other sources, right alongside the information you add via SiteOrganic... and make it all look consistent.

Please note that since many RSS feeds vary in format (some have headlines, description, images, links, comments, media, etc.), there may be a small design fee if you would like for our team to "style" the feed so that it matches the visuals on your site. In many cases, however, we've already styled feeds from major providers and there is no charge to add them to your site.

For more advanced users, the SiteOrganic feed reader even allows you to specify your own XSL transform, which means that you can specify endless conditions for formatting and displaying your feeds. Each feed can be shown with a different transform, and we provide a general-purpose one for you in case you don't want to write your own.

Search Engine Optimization (UPDATED)

SiteOrganic gives you tools to help stand out and achieve better page rank on major search engines. In addition to the META tag editor, we also offer you the ability to control the wording of your TITLE tags (which can appear differently than the visible page name in the body of your pages). All of our code is written with search visibility in mind, and our page editor creates clean markup whenever possible.

SiteOrganic integrates with Google Webmaster Tools, so that verification and monitoring of your site are quick and painless.

The Friendly URL tool in SiteOrganic also allows you to publish clean page addresses. This is not only helpful for organic page crawling, but also can be useful when testing various landing pages. Don't forget that SiteOrganic also maintains a dynamic, real-time sitemap for you to submit to search crawlers.

Our team also maintains, and can adjust, a robots.txt file for you in case you want custom crawling treatment from Google, Bing, etc.

We support the efforts of your third-party SEO consultancy and are committed to working with any recommendations you might receive. Many of our clients also use Google Webmaster tools to enhance their site's search visibility. SiteOrganic tools integrate seamlessly with any search campaign.

Small Group Search

You can publish a searchable list of groups, studies, or classes on your site. Let visitors search your groups by category (men's, women's, parenting, expository Bible study, etc.), day of the week, or other descriptors.

Depending on how you want to set up the groups page, you can also allow for online signups. The tool also provides for an email alert to be sent to the group leader along with an overall groups administrator so that you can manage your signups.
