Position Title:

Systems Administrator

As a Systems Administrator, you will be a critical part of the team that builds and maintains our SolidRock Hosting Platform. You will assist in a variety of tasks related to configuring client Websites, provisioning server resources, monitoring server and application health, and assisting with Tier 2 support troubleshooting. You will generally be working during normal business hours Monday through Friday; although occasional night/weekend assignments will be required (appropriate comp time will be granted in these cases). .

Key skills for success in this role::

Very strong English written and oral communication skills
Experience working with Christian ministry and/or church clients
Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, including Windows Server 2003/2008/XP/Vista/7
Strong knowledge of DNS, including reverse DNS, Sender Policy Framework
Strong knowledge of Microsoft IIS configuration
Experience with configuration and management of Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 including failover clustering
Solid understanding of RAID 0/1/5 configuration and management
Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
Understanding of “batch”, VBscript, or power shell scripting

Nice to have:

Microsoft Certifications - progress towards (or completion of) MSCE, MCDBA, MCITP, or MCSA desired
Experience managing a clustered Microsoft SQL Server environment with a SAN
Experience with hosting control software a strong plus (e.g. DotNetPanel, Helm, cPanel)
Experience managing a hosted mail platform on Windows, such as MailEnable or SmarterMail
Experience configuring and auditing Windows-based systems for security certifications such as PA/DSS and PCI
Experience managing VPN technology in a private workgroup environment
Understanding of .NET webservice architecture, server-side caching
Experience with VMWare or Microsoft Virtual Server/Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies
XML and XSLT experience
Experience managing MS Exchange

Location:
Full-time in our Reston, VA studios (moving to eastern Loudoun County, VA in 2011)
